@Rick London Agree, Rick, and that's why (whenever I write a "lists" post) I always preempt it with the notion that it's a list that I'd follow, or read. But that doesn't mean it then becomes gospel - far from it.

Besides, usually by the time a list comes out, it's out-of-date anyhoo... ;-)

I notice you don't say "BEST" ten PR people to follow and I commend you for that. I did my PR internship in NYC in 1982 and worked in PR for ten more years. I went back to college in my 40's (at one of the best) and learned IT. I am good, but not good for everyone. Nor is any other PR person or group. Articles like these are, no offense meant, a dime a dozen. These might be ten PR people that are good for you, but may not be good for me, or Joe Shmoe, or @Obama or you name it. There are other articles on "Top ten mistakes Twitterers make". I also laugh at those. Twittering, like blogging is full of gray areas. What works for
Ford Moters does not work for Whole Foods. Why in the world do people write these type articles when they, truly, if you are honest, are written only for the writer. Sincerely, Rick London

Danny,

I humbled and honored to see this list recirculating. I love what I do and am so, so excited about the lightning fast growth of social media. Remember when we used to sign on to Twitter and always run into one another? Now, there are so many people on it, we rarely see each other.

Thrilled, though, to see how much your blog has grown. Love following you, and still appreciate your fresh perspective and insight.

Stay well; thanks again.

Great article. Please note that my boss, cartoonist Rick London, relatively new to Twitter has his own theory. Celebs on Twitter are neither good nor bad. Rick is a semi-celebrity himself, in that his offbeat cartoons, Londons Times. have been the #1 ranked Google offbeat cartoon since 2005. He reciprocates with all, and encourages his "celeb friends" to do the same, and they do. His philosophy is that "everybody is a star" so he really does not pay much attention to who is or who is not a celeb. He cartoon stores, and gets just as many purchases from Peoria as Hollywood. He's there to make friends and (Hopefully) make people laugh, and it seems to be working.

[...] Blogger’s recommendations: Read the blogs of the people that you follow on twitter. Chances are they’ll mention other twitterers often in their blog posts. If they’re worth blogging about, they’re probably worth following. Some bloggers will eve write a post specifically recommending some tweeps. If you’re interested in PR, check out Dave Fleet’s post and Danny Brown’s post. [...]
