		<description>I think the key point is using Twitter effectively as well, Michael. Yes, it&#039;s great to see companies getting involved, but unless they&#039;re using it effectively they may as well have stayed outside.

2009 should be interesting to see how the site and its uses grow.</description>

Sometimes employees from a certain company will act as liaisons for their company, while others -- such as GriffinTech (http://twitter.com/griffintech) will be the official company Twitter account.

It definitely allows companies to connect with their customers on a whole new basis.  Just look at Starbucks ... http://twitter.com/Starbucks as an example.
