That's the great thing about thinking "differently" - it can offer great results and it doesn't have to be costly either. And, as you point out, it can also be a great team-building adventure as well.

It's the only real way to learn, Scott - if we can't take away our vanity and admit there are people that know their stuff better than we do (and learn from them) then we may as well give up.

That's both the fun and pain of being an early adopter - much of what you do is trial and error. But rather that than not try at all.

That's the funniest part - many "comics" are so far ahead of what would be viewed as "proper writing" that it's scary.

The Visual CV tool is going to have a big say in how prospective employers look at a candidate - could be a massive HR tool in the near future.

Thundercats, ho!

We started brainstorming just a few months ago, and our company is really starting to pick up momentum in approaching things creatively. Granted, we're still leaps and bounds behind technologically speaking (and not to mention on a fixed budget!), but we sure are having fun and growing as a team while we figure it all out. Thanks again for yet another enlightening article!

@Hendry Lee: what about She-Ra? He-Man's sister who was (dare I say) even cooler than he was...

My favorite piece of advice is follow the example those that are already successful. I am a creative person by nature, which is is must in the website development industry, so I utilize that a lot in my work. However, I'm not as experienced in marketing my business, so that one is a bit more tricky for me. Heck, joining twitter was outside my comfort zone, but it has started to pay off. By they way, reading comic books do not make you a geek, at least that's whay I tell my wife.

Thanks Danny, I am still convinced I learned to read with the help of comic books. At least they prepared my interest in learning to read;-)

I really enjoyed reading this blog post.. Working corporate PR can sometimes be a bit uninspiring. I will for sure take a closer look at the Visual CV application and think more about how I present things.

Cheers /Johan

Two of my favorites are Thundercats and He Man. Yes, both of the animation tv series were also available here in Indonesia.

Now I must see this movie...

With that, you really provide an interesting view of using Internet technology for PR. It takes time for some people to start realizing how important and effective this can be if used appropriately.

Early adopters are not without their challenge though. I began to feel swamp with a list of new sites to look for every day, although just two weeks ago I cleaned up the list of social media sites to visit regularly.

(Fortunately, GTD keeps me sane and back on track. ;)
