The simple statement of thank you, thanks, mahalo, or gracias can go a long way. Letting others know that you appreciate them and that you want to take the time to thank them for something that they did.

Perhaps that's the key, the element everyone must remember: Be humble.

The moment you don't show humility is the moment it's all about you and nobody else. It's human to forget to be humble, so thanks for reminding us, Sasha.

Agreed! Our world has too much negativity and corporate environments tend to focus on problems instead of a good job well done. Thank you, Danny and Sasha for this important reminder.

Amazing how just the smallest of gestures can make the biggest of differences. Great to see you have people around you that can offer that, with no ask in return except to make you feel better. Perfect. :)

After a long day resting -- due to the doctor's order, I felt a little 'discouraged' for not making up to my usual online routine, replying emails, comments, writing... It has been rainy heavily outside, so had to cancel outings too. It's a gloomy day alright, until I checked my inbox, noticing an encouraging comment left by a reader; also a warm tweet from a very good blogger friend of mine, both given me the cure of the day -- I got a big grin on my face, feeling blessed for remembered by these kind individuals.

A simple gesture can be a big motivation for one; which is why I always believe a small pat at the back, or a simple 'thank you' as you shared can mean a great deal to someone. Never stop doing those 'little things' which will snow-balled into a huge change, or example to people's lives.

And Danny, you've just did it yourself by sharing the story with us. A simple post but with a profound meaning. Thank you.

@wchingya
Social/Blogging Tracker
