Thank you for the link! I’ve already successfully migrated my posts to WordPress – it is the comments that I’m trying to transfer.

Over a year ago, I installed Disqus to my Blogger blog because I wanted threaded commenting for my readers. Now that I have moved to WP, I would like to export the Disqus comments and import them into the WP format. Any ideas? Thank you!

I haven’t used Blogger in a while, so I’m not sure if you can just migrate the comments or not. But this tutorial seems pretty good:

I am in the process of migrating my blogspot blog to wordpress and I would like to do the same with all of my Disqus comments. Would you mind sharing what plugin you used to move your comments? Is there a tutorial you used? Any helpful resources would be sincerely appreciated!

Good choice. Disqus has some nice features, but I need users to have an account on my website for other reasons (submission purposes of content), which I cannot do through Disqus. The features Disqus offers are nice, but I hope wordpress will have these things integrated into upcoming releases.

Do you mean the CommentLuv system, Thomas?

The developer has made it so you can choose whether to make it do-follow or no-follow.

Personally I use do-follow, as it’s a nice way to thank folks for coming to your blog to start with.

And it hasn’t had any negative effect on my SEO or visibility, so all good on that front too.

Disqus does have a nice feature that when the blog you are commenting on doesn’t care to post your comment, then at least disqus remembers it. I find this useful if bloggers don’t like my disagreements on their blog comments.

I like LinkLuv and see a lot of benefits to linkluv. Certainly good for community building. I am undecided on which is better so still not using either on my site.

It appears you prefer LinkLuv? Do the outbound links negatively effect link count and SEO? Or is it a javascript link so the links don’t show?
