An Invite to Pimp Your Blog

22 Shares 22 Shares ×

Mr BlingSo this week’s been really quiet on here, due to a particularly busy project over at Maritz Canada. Now that project has at least resorted to more normal activity levels, I’ll be jumping back in here and reverting back to normal frequency.

First up will be the continuation and conclusion of the 7 Days to Turn Your Blog Into a Social Media Hub series, and this will be followed by some thoughts I’ve been having around operational social media and marketing differently. So, thanks for your patience during this recent quiet spell – really appreciate it.

But before all that, I’d like to ask you a favour – share your blog.

Leave the URL and a little info about it in the comments section (don’t worry if it doesn’t appear immediately – I use a filter for multiple links, but I will publish any filtered as soon as possible).

You kindly come here to read and maybe share a post or two with your community; now I’d like to do the same. The comments are yours to share your blog with us. And while you’re there, make sure you check out some of the blogs left there – you might just find some great new reads.

Thanks for being you, guys.

I have three blogs and I can't choose lol. One is http://www.laybare.tumblr.com - This blog was started to connect to those who connect to my upcoming (and first time ever) short film, titled Lay Bare. It's an attempt to break the silence on sucide (second lead cause of deathin those 10-22 in canada and 14 - 25 in the US). I talk with others struggling, and post the progress and who I met on tumblr that week that inspired me to push forward. My other is http://www.genemarie.zxq.net/blog which is a blog about entertainment, movies, indie films (underrated) books...I just talk about what I love what I hated, what I would have done differently. Last is http://www.oneachseptember.tumblr.com my thoughts, in my head for a little while, life lessons, my photography, what I learned from others, life's philosophical times...poetry...all that stuff.

I write about things. Sometimes I write about big issues; other days the topic at hand is just something cool I found that day. Whatever the case, I do write about things, and that site can be found at http://www.sushimustwrite.com

Thanks Danny, just found the blog while researching into PR, some quality information and ideas. We run a blog http://www.deepblue-digital.co.uk/blogs/ dedicated to our ups and downs as an SEO company, whilst hopefully giving a bit of insight for people new to SEO.
Keep up the good work.

I finally got a blog up, so I'll share! But first and foremost, thank you for YOUR blog and information you share...always an awesome resource.

My blog is at www.jmatthicks.com. It's dedicated to helping others, as well as myself, break into social media and learn along side one another. Thanks a lot and we'd love to have you stop by and offer some advice! Thanks again Danny!

Hi Danny -- I just discovered your blog and it's a great resource. I have two blogs: http://thebuzzfactoree.com is my "home" blog and web site for my business where I write about how to brand your business through the art of storytelling. The second, my humor blog, is mostly for fun. It's called The Awkward Age: Too Old For Pole Dancing, Too Young for Social Security. It's at http://www.thatawkwardage.com. I invite everyone to visit me! I love this idea of yours and I think I'll invite people to do that same on my blog!

Hey Danny - 1st timer here. My blog is at http://gcsscommunity.com. The nonprofit I work with, Georgia Community Support and Solutions, asked me to create it in order to promote our events, network with other organizations, and discuss stories related to disabilities. Additionally, I integrate many of the marketing concepts I've learned lately from experts like yourself (and make an effort to acknowledge them). Please check it out...thanks!

What a wonderful idea, thank you, and that's quite a list of blogs to go and visit.

My blog, The Ruka and Kuusamo Travel Guide (http://www.rukakuusamo.com) is a travel guide to my local area, Ruka and Kuusamo in Finnish Lapland, one of the last true wildernesses left in Europe and somewhere everyone should visit at least once.

My other blog, Notes From Lapland (http://www.rukakuusamo.com/notesfromlapland) is my personal blog about my life here in Lapland and how different it all is from where I am from, the UK.

Right, off I go to check out some of the other blogs in these comments...

Hi there... thanks for the offer! I went through the comments and visited some of your blogs too, everyone... :)
Anyway, my blog/website deals with TMJ disorder (yep - jaw problems). Very few people know that over 35 million people in the US alone have TMJD....in any case, if you know anyone who has it, send 'em over! :)
I don't make any money with it at the moment, I'm kind of between a rock & a hard place as far as how to monetize it. Anyway, thanks for the post Danny... and keep up the good work everyone.. your blogs are awesome! :)

Hi Danny,

Thanks for doing this. Lots of new blogs to check out now and add to my RSS reader and more people to interview :).

I have to two blogs. One is BlogcastFM (http://www.blogcastfm.com), where I interview 3 bloggers every week and get them to share their tips for success. AT this point there are probably about 70 interviews with bloggers. The list includes A-listers, Published Authors, and many up and coming bloggers. Recent interviewees include Scott Stratten from Unmarketing and Ramit Sethi

My other site is TheSkooloflife.com, where I write about surfing and personal development.

Thanks for giving us a chance to connect with other bloggers and pimp our stuff.

It's on Facebook, Danny and you know my blog but I will just take a moment and say thank you for all you do for everyone! I've learned a lot, grown a lot, and gained valuable insight from you in the couple of years I've known you. Blessings!

I get that because twice it has said you tagged me in an FB post recently but when I check, you're not there. Saturday I posted Dawn Bugni's post 5 times and I got fail each time. Then she e-mailed me to say it showed up - 5 times. I checked and it was gone again... reliability... maybe not.

Thanks Julie,

I had to log out, clear cache, log back in and refresh just to see what was going on, grr!

Ha, did it show up on Facebook then, Michele? I kept getting error messages when trying to share it, and it doesn't show up on the page wall - bizarre. :)
