As a business resource, Slideshare stands pretty much head and shoulders above most other content platforms.

From presentations to educational content and more, you can find information and curated media on pretty much any topic you have an interest in.

As a research solution, Slideshare offers analysis from some of the smartest minds on the web across all verticals. These include standard presentations, videos, multimedia and more.

Which brings us to this new Sunday Share feature.

Every week, I’ll be sharing a presentation that catches my eye and where I feel you might be interested in the information inside. These will range from business to content to social media to marketing and more.

This week, a short but interesting Slideshare from George Zarkadakis of content marketing agency Xplain.

It takes a look at how content is forcing marketers to reevaluate their outreach, and to think like publishers if they want to succeed.

Hi Danny! Great idea! I'm glad I'm following your blog via RSS - I won't miss any great SlideShare presentations. This one is great. It gave me some ideas to fuel my push for a better listening platform. Do you have any experience with listening platforms? Or do I have to wait for the book?

As ever the logic is in the simplicity, wonderful slide show thanks for sharing. The need to understand and also be part of our connected community gets bigger and bigger - being isolated won't work anymore if ever it did.

When you think of it, simplicity is often the key to success. Look at Facebook's success over other networks. One of the reasons according to Facebook was the fact everyone had the same UX - there was no graffiti mess like the old MySpace, there was no confusing tabs, etc. - just one simple experience.

Something more companies should consider when feeling the need to throw everything but the kitchen sink into something.

That's a god point, I remember working with my creative network on MySpace in 2008/10 and enjoying that more than facebook for the visual possibilities but then slowly but surely all that you state above came apparent, and everyone slipped away. Being on MySpace and Ning at the time meant knowing and seeing where people were moving to and it was easy to then join them where it was easy and effective to talk.

When people say, I'll just wait to see how things pan out they miss being part of the connected community that their contacts, colleagues and customers are enjoying each others company and sharing into wider communities just like any effective community in history.

Less kitchen sink more logic, odd how technology makes people assume more is good.
